Preparing for Hurricane Sandy

This time last year we faced a surprise Nor’Easter that dropped 2 feet of snow and caused power outages for a week or more.  This year we face a potential hurricane.  The weather in New England is less than predictable.  Servpro of Newtown wants all of our customers and friends to be safe and prepared.

There is a big potential for flooding and power outages.  Please make sure that you have adequate supplies of water, batteries, non-perishable foods and medicine.  Don’t forget to make sure that your pets are taken care of as well.  Make sure they have enough food and water as well. As a rule, you should have 1 gallon of water per day, per person and animal.

For more information on being prepared, please go to http://www.ready.gov/hurricanes

Servpro of Newtown will be prepared to help and assist customers faced with flooding or other problems as a result from the storm.    Don’t hesitate to call us, but we ask that you please be patient with us as we accommodate everyone we can.
